Payment Policy

Appointment Deposit

A non-refundable $10 appointment deposit is required to reserve all mobile and Remote Online Notary appointments. The deposit is applied toward the total invoice when services are completed. For mobile appointments requiring travel beyond the complimentary service area (0-3 miles), 100% of the applicable travel fee is also required at the time of booking. The travel fee deposit is applied toward the total invoice and secures the scheduled travel reservation. Appointments are not confirmed until all required deposits have been received.

Waiting Time

A 10-minute grace period is included. Additional waiting time is billed at $10 for each additional 15-minute increment for a maximum of 30 minutes. Waiting fees must be paid before the notarization begins. If the signer is not ready to proceed within the maximum waiting period, the appointment will be considered a no-show, and the No-Show Policy will apply.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments canceled more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may receive a full refund of all deposits paid or may be rescheduled one time, with all deposits transferred to the new appointment. Appointments canceled in less than 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will forfeit the $10 booking deposit. Any prepaid travel fees will be refunded provided the notary has not yet departed for the appointment location. Once the notary has departed for the appointment location, all travel fees become earned and are non-refundable.

No-Show Policy

An appointment will be considered a no-show if the signer and/or required parties are unavailable upon the notary's arrival, cannot be contacted, refuses to answer the door, or is otherwise unable or unwilling to proceed with the appointment. If the signer and/or required parties are not ready to proceed after the maximum waiting period outlined in the Waiting Time Policy, the appointment will also be considered a no-show. The $10 booking deposit and any prepaid travel fee will be forfeited. A new appointment will require a new booking deposit and applicable travel fee.

Additional Terms

Travel fees compensate for the convenience of mobile service and are separate from Texas statutory notary fees. Travel fees become earned once the notary departs for the appointment and are non-refundable if the notarization cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond the notary's control, including insufficient identification, incomplete documents, missing required witnesses, a signer declining or being unable to sign, or any circumstance preventing completion after arrival.
